Lorraine Schwartz is the only person I know who describes 100-carat diamond earrings as “effortless.” She not only describes them that way, she designs stunning important jewels that do, in fact, look easy breezy to wear. Well, actually, its bigger than that. Lorraine made almost 400-carats of diamonds look like a sexy rope of stones for Beyoncé just last month at the Grammys.
On Sunday night at the 2017 Oscars, the designer’s 100-carat earrings were worn by Jennifer Aniston. The actress lit up her signature red carpet style—sexy black dress and long locks—with the hot diamond pendant earrings.
All night the actress did a bit of a jewelry strip tease, moving her hair back over her shoulder upon occasion for photos and showing off the $10.7-million designs. Every glimpse of the jewels was a major wow!
“They are big beautiful stones,” explained Lorraine who was reached phone at the international gem show in Hong Kong. “They are G and F, VVS.” To translate the gemological color and clarity grades, the stones are tops.
So, what makes them as cool as Aniston’s red carpet style? The simple setting and the special gold alloy. “They are set in a bronze colored gold,” says Schwartz. “It is a combination of yellow and pink gold. There is no fuss about them. They are understated-over-the-top.” A look no one, but no one, does better than Lorraine.
