It’s been a shorter than usual Awards Season. The events, that traditionally take place over two months, were rolled into just about six weeks. While we prefer the schedule the old way, the tight calendar may have pushed the stars and their stylists to new creative heights at the BAFTAs. In other words, the previous ceremonies and what people wore have not faded in everyone’s minds as the weeks go by. Not at all. This year they are fresh memories. So perhaps people were thinking we have to do something different to stand out or at very least keep themselves entertained.
Whatever inspired the attire, this year as the English like to say, we were gobsmacked by the level of stylish jewelry. And fasten your seat belts, in just one week it’s the Super Bowl of jewelry otherwise known as the Oscars. (If you are looking for Duchess Kate she is here in a special post on her Van Cleef & Arpels jewels.)
