The Jewelry Kate and Meghan Wore at Wimbledon

The Duchesses dazzled in delicate designs

by Marion Fasel

Seemed like old times at Wimbledon today when the Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Sussex, otherwise known as Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle, sat down together in the Royal Box to watch the 2019 Women’s Singles Final of Serena Williams and Simona Halep. The sisters-in-law looked like they were having a good time together despite all the gossip and controversy surrounding their lives. Both were bejeweled in their signature ways. While the jewels did not outshine the sparkle Serena managed on the court, they did show some lovely summer looks that ranged from affordable to special purchase.  See the details on the pieces below.

Serena Williams at Wimbledon

Serena Williams may have taken off the wedding band and diamond hoops she wore throughout most of the Wimbledon tournament for the Finals, but she still had on more jewelry on the court than the Duchesses in the Royal Box. I was particularly fascinated by the heart-shaped gem pendant you can see a bit of in the photo above. Serena has worn jewelry with a heart motif throughout her career. To my knowledge there is no public detail about the heart pendant in the media. I like to imagine her loving husband Reddit founder Alexis Ohanian gave it to her as a gift before the Grand Slam.
