G By Glenn Spiro Pops Up in Palm Beach

The fabulous fine jewelry will be at the Sotheby’s outpost through the holidays

December 11, 2020—There are only two weeks of holiday shopping left and you haven’t found the jewels of your dreams yet. And when I say the jewels of your dreams, I am talking about something really special. It’s been a long year and you want to end on a High Jewelry note.

Well, it is not too late.

Designer Glenn Spiro and his elite team from London are showing the G collection at Sotheby’s 2,700+ square foot gallery in Palm Beach located at 150 Poinciana Plaza. It’s the perfect location to meet and greet the snowbirds who have headed south for the winter as well as scores of folks from the well-heeled crowd who have joined them to escape locations like New York City during the continuation of the coronavirus.

What you will find in Glenn’s offering is unlike jewelry anywhere else. The designer is well-known for his very limited-edition butterfly rings pavé-set with colorful precious and semiprecious stones. A hinge in the shank of the ring makes it possible to move the wings with a hand gesture. Beyoncé owned one she donated to the Victoria & Albert Museum because she clearly felt it should be enjoyed as a work of art.

A fan of the collection, Queen Bey also recently sported a G by Glenn Spiro old-mine cut diamond and blue titanium bracelet that epitomizes the designer’s blend of antique gems with modern materials.

Gwyneth Paltrow is another celebrity fan of the collection. At the 2019 Met Gala, the Goop entrepreneur sported a pair of amazing marquise shaped earrings with a diamond set in a frame of specially cut carnelian.

A couple of the pieces Glenn will have in Palm Beach include an astonishing necklace of cushion shaped Colombian emeralds set in emerald green titanium. The Emerald City jewel is sure to make your heart jump somewhere over the rainbow.

There is also an exceptionally cool diamond necklace composed of large pear and marquise shape stones set on a white cord. If this isn’t the perfect piece for Palm Beach, I don’t know what is.

If you have already blown your holiday shopping budget there is something far less expensive that will be available at the G by Glenn Spiro outpost. Rare copies of the designer’s monograph written by the esteemed jewelry journalist Jill Newman will be available. Pick one up, get to know the jeweler’s lifetime of beautiful work and the stories behind it. The publication is guaranteed to make you dream about a G jewel of your own.
