I wish there had been time to ask a lot of other people about their style stories, not just because musicians are so entertaining in their answers but also there were so many throwback looks I would have enjoyed learning about. Lady Gaga’s 1940s glam was clearly a tribute to her album of oldies with Tony Bennett, but I am unclear on Halsey’s reference to the same era. Both women wore Tiffany jewels that matched the mood of their clothes. Olivia Rodrigo was a blend of punk and the late Victorian period in her corset dress and chokers. Dua Lupa did a mid-90s Versace with Bulgari diamond earrings in what seems to be her ongoing tribute to Donatella Versace and the Italian house.

Aside from the narrative of the attire, one hot jewelry trend taking off on the red carpet is large, make that chunky, bracelets piled up on both arms. It was a look I first spotted on Hailey Bieber at the Vanity Fair Oscar party.
