Diamond stars have been part of Chanel’s fine jewelry collection since Coco herself launched it in 1932. Now the ever imaginative house has reconfigured the comets into edgy silhouettes for a new generation in a collection called Les Icônes de Chanel. A diamond ear cuff named Comete Spirale that swirls around the lobe is one of the coolest new styles. Another fun design is the Entrelacs d’Etoiles split-band ring with one yellow and one white gold star that shoot across a few fingers. The ring is set with 28-brilliant-cut diamonds totaling 1-carat. The collection can be found among other treasures at the new Chanel Fine Jewelry Boutique at Bergdorf Goodman in New York City. Located adjacent to the lavishly renovated fine jewelry salon, Chanel’s glamourous and intimate space was designed by architect Peter Marino.
The palette of the décor black, white, beige and gold reflects the interior design of Mademoiselle Chanel’s apartment on the rue Cambon in Paris.
