My jewelry-loving friend Kate Slavin got the Gucci Horsebit ring to celebrate a major achievement at work. Every time I see her wear it I try to think of a justification for the purchase. It checks off all the design details I love. Gold. Bold. Comfortable. There is movement in the way it swirls around the finger. The fact that it has a little of Gucci’s giddy up equestrian style in the horsebit motifs puts it right at the top of my wish list.
