The Wickedly Good Cynthia Erivo x Muse Collab

The collection includes pieces from 15 jewelry designers

by Marion Fasel

October 30, 2024—There have been lots of large media tours to publicize big movie releases, but I can’t remember anything being hyped as much as Wicked. The stars (as if you don’t already know) Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande have been appearing together since the Super Bowl on February 11.

They showed up at the big game wearing green and pink sequined football jerseys with their character’s names Elphaba (Cynthia) and Glinda (Ariana) emblazoned across the back. They presented on March 12 at the Oscars, and have been continuously rolling together and separately ever since, reminding us that something Wicked is coming. Along the way all sorts of Wicked merch has flown into stores, ranging from Crocs to Perinod Ricard limited edition cocktails to Foster Grant sunglasses.

Now, Cynthia Erivo, who is famous for her love of jewelry, has teamed up with Muse for the Wicked-themed Have a Heart initiative, where a portion of the proceeds from the sales benefit a charity. Cynthia has chosen Dreams of Hope, an organization that empowers LGBTQA+ youth to build confidence, express themselves, and grow as leaders through the arts. The journey the young people take in the program has parallels to Elphaba’s in Wicked, who transforms from being an outsider to embracing her power and identity.

The green color of Elphaba’s skin unites the jewelry in the Muse collaboration which debuted online last night, less than a month in advance of the film’s November 22 premiere. Cynthia worked with all of the 15 designers to create something special. The group includes Anna Maccieri Rossi, Bea Bongiasca, BECK Jewels, Buddha Mama, Daniela Villegas, kWIT, Lorraine West, Luis Morais, Marie-Hélène de Taillac, Mark Davis, Matturi Fine Jewellery, Mckenzie Liautaud, Silvia Furmanovich, Ten Thousand Things and Yutai. The prices range from under $1,000 to over $10,000.

See select highlights below and find all 50 of the designs on MusexMuse.com or in the Muse boutique at 605 Hudson St in New York City.
