Supporting a cause with money is one amazing way to help a charity. Another is giving time and experiences that are virtually priceless. Hearts on Fire has done both in support of Girls Inc. The American organization was founded in 1864 to support girls and young women after the Civil War. It has continued to work over the decades in partnership with schools and communities to help woman in academic, life and career instructions.
Hearts on Fire mentored and worked with a group from the Lynn, MA chapter of Girls Inc. to design a capsule collection. The participants learned how Hearts on Fire creates a jewelry collection from generating a CAD design to 3D printing and molds and the manufacturing of a final jewel. Additionally, the girls were taught about Hearts on Fire’s sales and marketing techniques. The jewels are remarkable for the Hearts on Fire collection because they are the first to feature rubies. The red gem reflects the signature color of Girls Inc.
