February 3, 2023—New York City’s Staten Island Chuck did not see his shadow yesterday. For those who believe in the groundhog’s prognostications this means spring is coming early.

In the jewelry world, which we definitely believe in, our contributing photographer Andrew Werner spotted early signs of Spring during his tour of the 69^th Edition of The Winter Show which took place at the Park Avenue Armory on Manhatttan’s Upper East Side from January 20 – 29. With his trusty camera and eagle eyes he captured precious flowers, frogs and a cute caterpillar not to mention some seriously dazzling gem-set jewels.

Find out more about the pieces Andrew photographed exclusively for The Adventurine from Simon Teakle, Kentshire and A La Vieille Russie who were a few of the jewelers among the 68 exhibitors from 10 countries at the 10 day fair which is a benefit for the East Side House Settlement, a community-based organization serving the Bronx and northern Manhattan.
