Is Adele Engaged?
The giant diamond ring on her left hand suggests she said “yes”
February 9, 2022—Adele swept up several prizes last night at the Brit Awards for her album 30 and she performed “I Drink Wine,” but the thing everyone is talking about this morning is the giant pear-shape diamond ring she wore on the third finger of her left hand.
Everyone is wondering if Adele is engaged?
At the moment there isn’t an official confirmation that she said “yes” to her boyfriend, sports agent Rich Paul who she has been with for around a year. Adele is, however, loudly signaling with her jewelry and gestures that she is in fact engaged.
Like many newly engaged celebrity brides, Adele kind of showed off the ring by placing her hand on her hip so it could be clearly seen while she was posing on the red carpet in a Giorgio Armani Privé gown and Lorraine Schwartz diamond earrings.
She also kept the ring on when she performed during the Brits but changed her dress to a Valentino Haute Couture gown and different jewelry.
It is possible Adele is just teasing the press and her fans. In the past some celebrities have worn rings on their wedding finger when they were not engaged, but I don’t think Adele is the type. I believe she is engaged
So, what’s the story on the ring and who made it?
The center stone is a pretty substantial pear-shape diamond. It has four prongs holding the sides of the gem and is set on a slender micro pavé-set diamond band.
The pear-shape stone is absolutely on trend at the moment. Megan Fox’s engagement ring from Machine Gun Kelly features a pear-shape diamond and a pear-shape emerald. And Scarlett Johansson’s engagement ring from Colin Jost has a modified pear shape light brown diamond.
Adele’s ring is most-likely by Lorraine Schwartz. The singer has been wearing Lorraine’s jewels almost exclusively at every event during the promotion of this album. At the Brit’s she had on the designer’s diamond earrings.
Lorraine Schwartz has long been a go-to designer for celebrities who want great engagement rings. Beyoncé, Blake Lively, Kourtney Kardashian, Kim Kardashian and Meghan Markle are just a few of the many who she has made rings for in the past.
