Before the Golden Globes on Sunday night, the first big red carpet of 2019, we had to take one more look back at last year’s best bejeweled star: Zoë Kravitz. No one—not even Lady Gaga—wore as many major pieces from beginning to end of 2018 as Zoë Kravitz. The Big Little Lies star demonstrated exactly what The Adventurine’s own 2018 hashtag #earringrenaissance meant to perfection.
It would be too easy to suggest Kravitz has a formula for red carpet dressing. It is all too individual to call a formula, but there are a few go-tos she and her stylist Andrew Mukamal favor. Her color palette is black, white, pink and emerald green. They love a strapless fitted dress, off the shoulder body hugging sheaths and formal mini dresses. Yes, of course, she wears clothes from YSL because she is an ambassador of the brand but she wears other labels too.
In terms of jewelry, big pear shape pendant earrings made multiple appearances. Large on the ear clusters and statement hoops were also in the mix. Lorraine Schwartz is clearly one of her favorite jewelry designers. The way Zoë transformed her beauty from short hair to long accented with big ’80s style bows, well you can see for yourself why the 5’2” actress stood tall and became our red-carpet star of the year. Oh, and as if this were not enough, Zoë also starred in Tiffany’s holiday campaign which was essentially a music video and she got engaged in 2018 and found her vintage ring on Instagram.
At the Golden Globes, Zoë rocked slick cropped hair and a strapless black YSL gown with jaw dropping Lorraine Schwartz 105-carats Colombian emerald and black jade earrings and an emerald ring.
For a YSL Beauty event that took place in Paris in February, Zoë wore an off the shoulder should black mini dress with some wide hoops.
At the Vanity Fair Oscar party, Zoë looked full-on movie star glam with tousled hair, a red pout, a short YSL black feathered dress and hefty 30-carat diamond studs and a diamond bracelet by Lorraine Schwartz.
Zoë made best-dressed news again at the MET Gala in 100-carat pear shape Morganite and diamond earrings from Jacob & Co, she paired with her new long hair and a sexy lace Saint Laurent one-shoulder dress.
At the London premiere of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald in November, Zoë paired a fuchsia gown by Giorgio Armani with huge pear-shape Colombian emerald earrings by Lorraine Schwartz.
At the Paris premiere of the Fantastic Beasts, Zoë sparkled in Lorraine Schwartz Ruby Knot earrings that perfectly accented the hot pink bow of her Saint Laurent black sequin gown.
For the Tiffany & Co. Blue Book Collection New York event in October, Zoë paired with a minimal Prada strapless black top with front to back diamond hoops.
For her final red-carpet appearance of the year the LACMA Art+Film Gala in November, Zoë wore an off the shoulder Gabriela Heart pearl accented gown with delicate pearl drop earrings.
