Louis Cartier’s world-class collection of Islamic art and his enthusiasm for the genre led to the transformation of Cartier style. The conversation will review how motifs, colors and forms from Islamic art initially became a key source of inspiration to the Cartier design team during the first half of the 20th century.

Cartier and Islamic Art: In Search of Modernity will be open for a special viewing between 5:30 and 7:00 p.m. prior to the event. Admission to the exhibition can be purchased with a ticket for the talk here.
