More men may be stepping out in fine jewelry nowadays, but the field is mainly at the service of creating accessories for women. Jeweler’s think about women constantly, what they want and what they want to wear. Many think-about women’s issues above and beyond the jewels. A select few take it as far as full participation in International Women’s Day.
For the second year in a row, Pomellato has supported the event with a video of luminaries expressing their thoughts on women’s empowerment, leadership and equality. The cast in “The Pomellato Sisterhood” led by Jane Fonda includes influencer Chiara Ferragni and actress Wakeema Hollis among many others. Of course, the women are decked out in Pomellato jewelry when they deliver their message of equal rights. Through the necklaces, bracelets, earrings and rings, Pomellato is clearly showing where they stand on the issues—with the women assembled.
It’s nothing new for the Italian jeweler. Since 1967, when Pino Rabolini founded Pomellato, the mission of the company has been to make bold jewels for empowered women. Today, the Milanese workforce at Pomellato exceeds the gender balance. Women compose 75% of the employees. It is also worth noting, the CEO of the company Sabina Belli is a woman. Watch her along with the other luminaries in the video below.
